If a child has chronic diarrhea before protocol, and with inulin had a few days of solid stools then does back to diarrhea, what does that mean?
I consider a few things if diarrhea begins after starting the protocol or persists despite the protocol. The most important aspect is to ensure there are no serious intestinal issues such as inflammatory bowel disease. If there is a fever, blood, or mucous in the stool, stop the protocol and seek a physician’s advice. If the child seems healthy despite diarrhea, I stop the oils to see if they contribute to the problem. Suppose diarrhea improves after stopping the oils, lower or split the dosing of the oils. Consider the contribution of other supplements or medications. If these steps do not help, I continue the protocol, and eventually, diarrhea will stop without any immediate treatment.
